Break Up With Your Vice Retreat

A Two-Day Retreat for Breaking Old Patterns and Reclaiming Your Peace.

Located in Durango CO

Led by Chelsea Steck, LCSW, LAC, and Alaric Hutchinson, this retreat blends clinical recovery insight, practical tools, mindfulness, and Living Peace teachings to help you understand the pattern, work with cravings and triggers, and practice a new response.

This retreat is for adults who find themselves returning to a habit or behavior that no longer feels fully chosen—whether that’s alcohol, nicotine, cannabis, food, shopping, gambling, social media, or something else you’ve tried to change but keep getting pulled back toward.

You do not need to identify as having an addiction to belong here. Maybe the pattern is seriously disrupting your life, or maybe you’ve simply begun to notice that it’s taking more than it gives. Wherever you fall on that spectrum, this weekend is about understanding what keeps the pattern alive, strengthening your ability to meet what lies beneath it, and developing greater freedom and choice in how you respond.

What This Weekend Will Give You:

Understand the Pattern

Learn what keeps unwanted habits alive—from triggers and cravings to thought patterns, emotions, and the needs the behavior may be serving.

Gain Practical Tools

Develop strategies for cravings, boundaries, emotional regulation, setbacks, and the everyday moments when willpower alone isn’t enough.

Build Inner Steadiness

Practice meeting discomfort, cravings, and difficult emotions with greater awareness instead of automatically reaching for the old response.

Leave with a Plan

Walk away with clearer triggers, personalized next steps, daily practices, and a realistic plan for continuing your progress after the weekend.
