Hi! I’m Chelsea Steck, owner and therapist of Down To Earth Counseling, located in Durango, Colorado. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) and provide in-person therapy in Durango and telehealth therapy to anyone in Colorado. I have 10 years experience in the social work field and am truly passionate about helping people through difficult times. I assist by providing compassionate support and guidance, teaching you skills to help you cope better, and empowering you to make positive changes in your life.

 My professional experience includes working at a community mental health center, Intensive Outpatient Program for Substance Use Disorders, a county jail, a college counseling center, a domestic violence shelter, and disaster relief.

My clients have told me they like working with me because I am down-to-earth (hence the name!), easy to talk to, knowledgeable, and genuinely care. I tailor sessions to match my client’s personality, needs, and interests. I do my best to make therapy comfortable, worth your time, and even fun!

While I am originally from Illinois, I have lived in Colorado since 2013. Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, kayaking, camping, dancing, cooking, music, and spending time with friends and family.
